Hi There!
My name is Ria and I am originally from Melbourne, Australia but now call Lexington home. I am a junior studying Neuroscience on the Pre-Medical track in hopes of reaching my ultimate goal of becoming a physician. In my free time you’ll find me exploring different coffee shops, taking a spin class, or reading a book by the pool!
One of the many things I love about the University of Kentucky is the various ways to get involved on campus. In addition to being an ambassador, I serve as the Secretary and Risk Management Officer for the medical fraternity on campus called Phi Delta Epsilon. I am also an undergraduate researcher in Dr. Daniel Lee’s laboratory where I study the effects of the protein Tau in Alzheimer's disease. Furthermore, I volunteer by triaging patients at the University of Kentucky’s Salvation Army Clinic – a free community clinic ran by pre-medical and medical students.
I chose to attend the University of Kentucky because of its beautiful campus and all that it has to offer. I hope that I can help prospective students by guiding and supporting them throughout their journey here at UK!
