Nevaeh Eggleston

Nevaeh Eggleston is native of Madison, Alabama and an excelling junior at the University of Kentucky majoring in mathematics with a minor in Africana Studies and Statistics. Nevaeh currently works as a tutor at Mathskeller and for the Mathematics Department as an undergraduate assistant. She is active in several organizations, such as, NAACP, Campus Kitchen, and Aspiring Sports Professionals to name a few; while holding honors in Phi Sigma Theta National Honor Society and National Society of Collegiate Scholars. As an incoming freshman Nevaeh received several scholarships, one being the United Negro College Foundation Scholarship. During the Summer of 2022 she received an internship at Acadian Assest Management Company in Boston, Massachusetts as a data analysis. In her future, she would like to be a sports data analyst for the NFL or ESPN applying her mathematical background and history of African Americans to the sports industry. Nevaeh would also like to continue working with the NAACP helping to fight for injustuces. She says she chose UK because it felt like a home away from home and gave her numerous possibilities to explore several opportunities as a young African American female majoring in STEM.
