Hello friends! My name is Laurel Riggs, and I am a rising senior working toward dual degrees in Political Science and Writing, Rhetoric, and Digital Studies on a Pre-Law track. I am originally from Bardstown, Kentucky, and I have wanted to attend UK for the entirety of my life. I have always admired UK’s elite political science undergraduate program as well as the Rosenberg College of Law, making UK the perfect place to chase my dreams! 

Along with being the co-coordinator of the Arts & Sciences Ambassador Program, I am also very involved in other campus organizations. I currently serve as Kentucky Panhellenic's Vice President of Membership Standards and have previously served my chapter, Chi Omega, as their Director of Social and Friendship. Additionally, I serve on the Student Government Association's Executive Team as their Assistant Attorney General, along with being a Lewis Honors Student and Lunsford Scholar. 

Apart from UK, I work as a law clerk at Hicks & Funfsinn, a local personal injury firm here in Lexington. I have additional internship experience both with the Fayette County Commonwealth's Attorney & Dow Chemical Government Affairs in Washington, DC. Finally, I volunteer with Hugh O’Brian Youth (HOBY) leadership and serve as their Director of Programming.

Outside of my professional responsibilities, you can find me wearing the color pink, at a coffee shop, going for a walk at UK's Arboretum, or going to Keeneland with my roommates!
