Hi! My name is Brady and I am a third-year, double major in Political Science and Law & Justice, on the Pre-Law track. I was born in Guatemala City, Guatemala but I grew up in Muhlenberg County, Kentucky. My journey to UK was an easy choice; it was the first college I applied to, and after visiting the campus, I fell in love with Lexington's vibrant culture and the university's welcoming environment. Coming from a small rural town, Lexington was initially a culture shock, but it quickly became a place I appreciate and love.
Beyond academics, I'm actively involved in campus life. I serve as a UK 101 Peer Instructor and also as a Keeneland College Ambassador and participate in various on-campus organizations such as the Student Philanthropy Board, the Latino Student Union, and College Democrats. I also hold leadership roles as the Vice President of Recruitment for Kappa Alpha Pi (KAPi), a co-ed pre-law fraternity, and as the Vice President of Social Media and Marketing for Poli-Sci Pals, an organization that offers free tutoring and textbook rentals for political science students.
In addition to my on-campus involvement, I gained valuable experience through a Digital and Communications internship with the Kentucky Democratic Party and have worked as a legal runner at Golden Law Office in Lexington. I've also had the opportunity to shadow several practicing attorneys and judges in my hometown, further fueling my passion for the legal field. Looking ahead, I plan to pursue a juris doctorate after completing my bachelor's degree, to practice law.
I look forward to serving you as a 2024-2025 Arts and Sciences ambassador! If you would like to know more about my experience at UK or need anything at all please don't hesitate to reach out!
