Hey! My name’s Alani, and I am a junior majoring in Neuroscience with a minor in Philosophy on the Pre-Med track. After my undergraduate studies, I hope to go on to medical school and then subsequently pursue a career in psychiatry.

On campus, I am involved in a variety of organizations such as Hues in Medicine (President), Black Student Union (Vice President), and Women in Neuroscience. I also partake in research through the Sanders-Brown Center on Aging here at UK where we study Alzheimer's Disease and the protein associated with neurodegenerative diseases known as Tau. We aim to find mechanisms towards curing the disease.

For fun, I enjoy making music and playing the piano. I am apart of the UK Arts in Healthcare Program, which allows me to perform in the atrium of the hospital for passing guests. I love UK because of the plethora of activities and organizations you can get involved in. There is truly something for everyone here.
