Hi, I'm Ella, and I'm a senior majoring in English with a minor in French. I'm from Murray, KY, but I spent the first ten years of my life here in Lexington. I hope to earn my PhD in English, and right now, I'm considering pursuing a career in higher education. In my spare time, I enjoy creative writing, reading (I especially like historical fiction and poetry, but I'll read most any fiction), and playing games with my friends. In addition to being a College of Arts and Sciences Ambassador, I'm a Gaines Center for the Humanities senior fellow and an alumna of the Chellgren Fellowship. I've participated in Humanities research since my sophomore year, studied abroad in London, and interned at the University of Winnipeg in Manitoba, Canada. 

Though I was drawn to UK's outstanding Honors College and its beautiful library, it was the faculty and staff here that truly solidified my college decision. Every professor I have interacted with at UK genuinely seems to care for me, my success, and my well-being. This, along with UK's unique ability to make a very large campus feel like a much smaller one (with all the benefits of a big university), motivated me to become a Wildcat!
