Brady Steele
Political Science & Law and Justice
Pre-Law

Hi! My name is Brady Steele, and I am a senior double major in Political Science and Law & Justice on the Pre-Law track. I was born in Guatemala City, Guatemala, and grew up in Muhlenberg County, Kentucky. Choosing UK was an easy decision—it was the first school I applied to, and after visiting campus, I fell in love with Lexington’s vibrant culture and the university’s welcoming community. Coming from a small rural town, the transition to a larger city was a culture shock, but Lexington quickly became a place I truly appreciate and love.

Beyond academics, I stay actively involved in campus life. I have previously served as a UK 101 Peer Instructor and Keeneland College Ambassador, and I am a member of the Latino Student Union, College Democrats, and Pi Sigma Alpha. I also hold leadership positions as President of Kappa Alpha Pi (KAPi), UK’s co-ed pre-law fraternity, and Director of Public Relations for the Student Philanthropy Board.

Outside of campus, I’ve gained valuable professional experience through a Digital and Communications internship with the Kentucky Democratic Party, my work as a legal runner at Golden Law Office in Lexington, a lobbying internship with McCarthy Strategic Solutions, and legislative internships with both the U.S. Senate and the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute. Additionally, I’ve shadowed attorneys and judges in my hometown, which has further solidified my passion for pursuing a career in law. After graduation, I plan to attend law school and ultimately practice as an attorney.

I am excited to serve as a 2024–2025 Arts & Sciences Ambassador! Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you’d like to learn more about my UK experience or if there’s anything I can help with. GO CATS!
