Hi there! My name is Flor Muciño and I am a junior majoring in Biology with a minor in Anthropology. While I am originally from the state of Wisconsin, I have also lived in Michigan and Ohio, but have resided in Lexington for the past 8 years! On top of being an Ambassador for the College of Arts & Sciences, I am also a Resident Advisor in Ball Hall and work closely with the STEMCats program on campus. I am the Vice President of Recruitment and Social Chair for the Omicron Zeta chapter of Sigma Lambda Gamma National Sorority, Inc. and an active member of the Latino Student Union on campus.
During my summers, I volunteer as a facilitator for the Latinx Leadership and College Experience Camp. I work with high school students to explore the possibilities higher education has to offer. I, along with other members of the community, facilitate activities that revolve around cultural exploration.
As someone who has lived, experienced, and grown to call many states my home, UK is where I found my niche. I hope for the best to all that decide to join the Big Blue Nation!
Feel free to contact me if you have any questions about life at UK or about academics. I am also fluent in Spanish and will be more than happy to help in my native language.
